Overview
The client sought additional office space to accommodate their rapidly growing business amidst limited available space. The expansion was imperative while ensuring minimal disruption to their round-the-clock operations at their Avonmouth site. The new facility aimed to accommodate approximately 60 individuals and foster a modern, inviting work atmosphere.

Our preconstruction team formulated comprehensive client requirements through a series of collaborative meetings, evolving into innovative new and refurbishment options tailored to their site. Each option underwent design and cost budgeting, empowering the client to make informed decisions aligned with their business objectives and operational needs.
Ultimately, the decision was made to refurbish an existing old office block by stripping it down to the steel and seamlessly integrating a new extension, effectively doubling the office space to 900m².
Working closely with structural engineers, foundations were developed to minimise excavation works.
Additionally, a substantial steel portal frame was skillfully added to the existing shell, requiring extensive reinforcement to ensure structural integrity.
A contemporary two-story office complex spanning 900m², designed to accommodate 60 full-time staff members in a modern work environment. Equipped with state-of-the-art meeting rooms featuring advanced technology, including floating partition walls allowing for flexible configurations from expansive presentation areas to intimate private meeting spaces.
The new building maximises roof surface to generate an additional 135kVA of solar energy, promising significant savings with a projected 3-year payback on the initial investment. Furthermore, an extensive hard landscape package has been implemented, providing 35 additional car parking spaces and 16 fast charging points, with the flexibility to expand by an additional 16 when needed.
